David Mack's cover for Atomika #5 arrived at the Speakeasy/Mercury Comics Studios today and we were all left speechless. Mack, creator, author and artists of the highly-acclaimed KABUKI published by Images comics was awarded the 1999 International Eagle award for Best Cover Art of the Year and based on this new piece, it's quite easy to see why. Mack is also working as the writer and cover artists for Marvel's best-selling Daredevil series. "David has always been one of my favorites, but in that I'm not alone," said Sal Abbinanti, creative director for the upcoming ATOMIKA series. "On top of being a great painter and talented, David is simply a really cool guy and we are thrilled to have a top talent like David Mack working on the Atomika series. We really couldn't be happier."
